Dramatization
Be transported 250 years in the past and get a glimpse at what the congress might have been like with our dramatization of the Third Provincial Congress. Enjoy an original film that describes the catalysts for the Third Provincial Congress, what the town of Hillsborough was like at the time assembly convened, the measures taken at the meeting, and the actions that occurred as a result of the gathering. After this dynamic presentation, costumed interpreters representing twelve different delegates will speak, explaining who they were and why they became involved in the independence movement. These interpreters will also read resolutions and/or recite quotes from speeches that were delivered at the Congress.
This show is approximately 30 minutes long and is held in the Historic Orange County Courthouse courtroom. Performances will be held throughout the day at the following times: 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM, 4:30 PM, and 5:30 PM
